Lizardfolk Monk 11
|
This example was made for the 3.5 ruleset. It is brought to you by Patryn of Elvenshae. This build gives you a BAB of +9 / +4. When (greater) flurrying, you may make two additional attacks at +9: +9 / +9 / +9 / +4. Your unarmed strike damage is 1d10+Str. Lizardfolk have three natural attacks: two claws (primary) 1d4+Str, and one bite (secondary) 1d4+½Str. The MM standard lizardfolk also have the Multiattack feat, reducing their penalty on attack rolls with secondary natural weapons to -2. Accordingly, on a standard action single attack or AoO, you have the following options:
2. Claw +9 (1d4+Str 20/x2, PS) 3. Bite +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PSB) On a full attack, you have the following options:
º Unarmed strike +9 / +4 (1d10+Str 20/x2, B) 2. Monk Attack Only, Flurry º Unarmed strike +9 / +9 / +9 / +4 (1d10+Str 20/x2, B) 3. Natural Weapons Only º 2 Claws +9 (1d4+Str 20/x2, PS) º Bite +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PSB) 4. Mixed Monk Attack and Natural Weapons º Unarmed strike +9 / +4 (1d10+Str 20/x2, B) º 2 Claws +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PS) º Bite +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PSB) Note that, above, there is not an option to use Flurry of Blows and your natural attack forms together. That's because, when using Flurry of Blows, "a monk may attack only with unarmed strikes or with special monk weapons." Natural weapons are not special monk weapons, and therefore may not be used in conjunction with FoB. The FAQ, however, says that that rule doesn't mean what it says, and allows monks with natural attack forms to use them so long as they use them "separately" from their flurry attacks. I think that's hogwash, but if your DM allows it, then you have the following additional option:
º Unarmed strike +9 / +9 / +9 / +4 (1d10+Str 20/x2, B) º 2 Claws +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PS) º Bite +7 (1d4+½Str 20/x2, PSB) Any questions? |
